I have stayed in that area three times and love it. I recommend it highly.

I have stayed at the Hotel de Seine and at an apartment on rue Mazerine, both of which are just a stone’s throw from the Odeon metro stop.

It is an easy walk to many excellent restaurants as well as most of the major attractions you will want to go to. I really enjoy the vibe of that area.

Great. Let us know if you book that and I will give you my restaurant recommendations in that neighborhood.

Booked! Thanks geauxpurple! We are seven months out, but it was nice to have everything booked. Having Delta lower the mileage cost to was handy. Plenty of time to plan now

Okay. Here are my restaurant recommendations for that neighborhood. All of these are an easy walk from the Odeon metro.

Let’s start with a couple of fun casual places. Freddy’s Wine Bar and Fish LaBoissonnerie have delicious food and good wine lists. They are right across the street from each other near the corner of rue de Buci and rue de Seine.

La Jacobine is another casual place nearby with a traditional French bistro menu. I went there in 2019 based on recommendations on this board.

Boutary is a fantastic restaurant on rue Mazerine. They specialize in caviar but have many other things. Great place especially if you like caviar and even if you don’t.

I love the upscale Parisian gourmet bistros. Two of the best examples of these are Hebe and La Christine. La Christine is on rue Christine about a block from the river near the border of the 5th and 6th. Hebe is in the 5th a few blocks in to the Latin Quarter. Both are fantastic.

Thanks for the notes, very helpful. Bad news time, the place is already booked to their 120 day limit (some local France AirBnB rule). Still looking in same area, but have to fine a new place.
