Great city. Food and beverage scene is booming.

I thought it kinda sucked but I was there midweek and could only go to a Blues game. So not a fair shake. Wanted to do the big slide at the children's museum
I don't know how they get away with legally putting 4/5 people in those pods at the Arch. I was by myself in one and felt cramped and I'm only 6'1".

If you want to get back in touch with your inner child, definitely visit the City Museum. It's one of the more unique places you'll ever experience.

Great city with some really good breweries if you are in to that. Zoo is nice, definitely go to a cards game. Very walkable and safe downtown to me.

I like STL. It is not a great vacation destination but there is definitely stuff to do. Probably more of a family vacation for me.
It is a baseball town for sure so a Cards game would be at the top of the list.
Several solid breweries. Some great Italian places on the Hill. I’m not crazy about St Louis style pizza which I never knew was a thing.
The park is enormous. Has the zoo and several other kid attractions. Big festival there every summer.
Arch was cooler than I thought it would be. Paddle boat on the river.
Cleanest public transportation that I’ve ever been on. Four Seasons is very nice and not outrageous though i usually stay somewhere cheaper.
If you decide to go, I can make specific reccs on food and beers.

I’ve done the Budweiser tour. St. Louis is big in Italian food for some reason.

Grant's Farm is a pretty cool place, and the Arch I think is a must, but you may need to get tickets early. The Old Courthouse where the Dred Scott case was decided is within walking distance of the Arch and an interesting place to visit.

I enjoyed it. Busch Stadium is great, as is Ballpark Village. I'd say two other must-dos are the St. Louis Zoo (free) and Cathedral Basilica.
Grant's Farm is a popular attraction, but we never went. Washington University of St. Louis has a nice little campus to stroll around in. Lafayette Park is nice to walk in and there are a lot of great homes along Park Ave. The Soulard neighborhood is really cool. There are a lot of good restaurants, bars, and breweries in the area.
Blues City Deli and The Shaved Duck are two good restaurants I remember eating at. There are a lot of great Italian restaurants in The Hill. Some good breweries to visit are Schlafly, 4 Hands, and The Side Project if you're a super beer nerd.
Lastly, St. Charles, MO is a cool, historic town to visit for a couple of hours.
All in all, it's definitely worth a visit. It's a blend of New Orleans and Louisville imo. If you've been to both, you'll understand. St. Louis is pretty cheap compared to other big cities, plenty of things to do and see (with a lot of the attractions being free).

Is this a business or family function you will already be there for?
I’ve been a few times over the last 3 years for “work “. Meetings only lasted 3 hours out of the day and dicked around the rest of the time.
Did go see a Cardinals game, zoo and was a blast but other than that my trips were “meh”.
Wouldn’t go back just go unless it was work related.
Go for it if you really want to. Cardinals game was great. Zoo was better than I expected

The Brewery that a lot of people have missed is Urban Chestnut's beer hall. Pretty awesome place with good food.
Botanical Gardens are great.
City Museum is amazing.
St. Louis Art Museum is very good.
Zoo is awesome.
If you're into food/drink, I can give you a good rundown, but I'll say to not sleep on St. Louis BBQ. It's gotten very legit in the last few years.
They are known for their Italian, but I think that scene is kind of played out. Traditionally, it's very good and famous... but it's not that interesting anymore. Maybe that's just because most of those restaurants have been around a long time, and I've kind of had my fill of them.

Let me know what you like to do for fun

Lot's of good suggestions already. We have been to SL about a dozen time over the past 40 years; we have friends there.
My recommendations:
Grant's Farm - they have animals, the Clydesdales used to be there and may still be, and a beer garden.
Forest Park - this is where the zoo is and the St. Louis Art Museum; some of their exhibits change so you have to check what's going on. They had a Route 66 (it goes through SL) exhibit and a Little Black Dress exhibit when we were there.
Cathedral Basilica of SL - it is near Forest Park and if you go try and be there when a guide is there to hear the story; how long it took, how they did the art work, etc.
Cardinals game - SL is a baseball town; got to catch a game.
The Arch - been twice, will never go again, but worth doing at least once.
July 4th fireworks display if you are there then. The big one is at the Arch but there are others all over.
The Science Museum - especially good for young kids.
Ted Drew's Frozen Custard - go get some of this.
This is inside the Cathedral.
