Anyone familiar with the area? Going to be working there for a few weeks and looking for stuff to do. I know LA is a short drive away (depending on traffic). Looking for other things to do in the evening that might be closer. I may hit up a micro brew or two.

You mean that giant landmass north of Michigan that's half the size of the US? That Ontario?

Great people up there. Super friendly. I haven't been to Ontario but visited Nova Scotia once.

Inland Empire in general is shite. Ontario is at least close to Rancho Cucamonga, which is the retail corridor of the IE that is the most livable. You can try hiking up Baldy or hitting up the motor speedway in Corona. Skydiving out in Perris Lake. etc. Prepare for it to be unrelenting desert heat/sun this time of year.

Is it worth it to drive over to Los Angeles to a Dodgers game on the weekend and general sightseeing? I have heard the traffic is significantly lighter on the weekend...?..?

There is nothing there and its not close to LA and traffic going there is hell.

You are pretty close to Palm Springs and this is quick jaunt down I-10. lots to do there.

LA is certainly worth touring, broadly speaking. You'll have to decide for yourself when/if the traffic is worth it. If you can go HOV, that will greatly affect your decision. Also, they have some trains that go fairly far out now, might want to look into that.

The 210 corridor sucks. Drive it early if you have to. Anaheim is an easy drive as well as a dodger game on the weekend.

If time permits, you could drive up to Lake Arrowhead or Big Bear. Should be a nice way to kill part of a day.

I was there a few months after the huge wildfire in the early 00's. Took one afternoon and drove up to Big Bear. Even in that condition, it was a pretty awesome drive. Big Bear Lake is a bit over an hour from there.
