We are taking a rambling road trip west next week. Going to a Dodgers game Aug 5th and have a free day in L.A. on the 6th before moving on to Sequioa National Forest and Death Valley.

If you had just one day, what would you do? Not interested in the Hollywood sign or Walk of Fame, or hookers and blow.

A staple for all Dodger fans before a game is Philippe's. Known for there beef dip sandwiches and other assorted food. Been in the same location I believe over 75 years.

And you also have Olvera Street, a pedestrian only place Mexican with vendors, food etc.

What do you like? Hollywood sign can be sign from a distance and that’s all you need. You like the beach? Go to e beach. You like shopping? go on Rodeo drive and shop.
Why Death Valley? It’s hot during summer and nothing but a tiny overprice town
