Off-roading in New Mex or Arizona

Taking a road-trip between Albuquerque and Vegas next spring and was wondering if anyone has any recs for renting a Jeep/Tacoma/etc. for a day and hitting some moderate off-road trails. I know Sedona and Flagstaff are popular but I really dont want to fight an overcrowded trail (i heard they can get a little crowded at times).
Any lesser-known areas the TB can recommend? Or if you've done Sedona/Flagstaff what rental co. and trails would you recommend?

Here in Az the the big thing is SXS... Polaris RZR or Can Am. Seeing you'll be near Sedona there's rentals in Wiliams. Plenty of open trails to ride on. And somewhat close to the Grand Canyon.

It’s been years, but rented from Barlow Jeep rentals in Sedona and really enjoyed.
