Heading to Oahu for the first time in April. I'm staying on Waikiki beach, and meeting a friend that just recently moved there. Any recommendations on activities or must see things in Honolulu or Oahu? Thanks

House Without a Key right before sunset. It was recommended to me here and is a must. Good food/drinks + live music + sunset. Fireworks down the beach later that night. Do you golf? The north side of the island is beautiful. Simply taking a drive up there is worth it.

Lanakai Beach is the best beach on the island and one of the most beautiful beaches in the entire world.

Hike Koko Head trail for a workout. Manoa falls and diamond head are more touristy but fun.

If you can, do the stairway to heaven hike for incredible views. Its closed but you can still go. Got to get there early or the guard will reject you.

I'm really excited to do some hiking there, will try out those two trails. Has anyone been to the Polynesian cultural center, thinking about checking that out.

I have. I enjoyed it, especially the night fire show(if you go...you have to see that).

Just know...it's run by Mormons...so absolutely NO alcohol sold there. So don't be expecting mai tais if you do a luau there.

Pearl Harbor is a must do imo. My biggest regret of that trip was that we didn't get there early enough to be able to go on the ferry to the USS Arizona memorial.

If you do Manoa Falls hike and are a LOST fan....there is an Asian restaurant close to where the trail is. Look towards the back of the restaurant and you will notice the cages where the polar bear in the show was kept and the Orchid station.

There are also LOST tours you can do on the North shore.
