Yes, Juneau is a stop on itinerary. Not there very long so not sure how much of an excursion can be selected there

They usually do a half day, the Bliss and another NCL Ship usually trade places around 1p.

Gorgeous vessel.

Did not go on a cruise so can't speak to that but absolutely, positively go to Alaska if you have never been. We have traveled all over the lower 48 and Alaska is a whole different level of awesomeness.

I went on the NCL Jewel to Alaska this past July and the Bliss is much bigger and newer.

Went from Vancouver, BC to Seward with stops were Ketchikan, Skagway and Juneau. We stayed in Seward and Homer for a few days after to fish.

If you want to fish as an excursion, hire a non-cruise guide in Ketchikan. It's a longer stop and you have plenty of time. I know some people that did that and most of the excursions in Ketchikan are meh. Do a whale watching excursion in Juneau.

Bliss is very nice ship. If Encore is still there book it. The 15th floor viewing area is like no other ship on the seas.

Definitely, or helicopter glacier tour.

The icefield is the primary feature of Juneau, but few see it outside the snout of the Mendenhall. Taku Lodge is also a good excursion, floatplanes take you over the Taku Glacier and you dine in front of the Hole in the Wall Glacier.

We did a Caribbean cruise on the Bliss out of NYC a few years ago. Nice ship.

I took the Bliss to Alaska this past April out of Seattle. Great ship. If you can, get a cabin in The Haven. Worth the money. Wonderful cruise. Would do it again but would go a bit later than April as it was just a bit too cold.

For excursions, the Juneau whale watch is legit and I would absolutely book this. The train from Skagway was my least favorite. There was some bridge that has been out of service for several months so the trip was cut short. Otherwise, there is not much to do in Skagway itself so maybe find an excursion out of town or go fishing. Victoria is nice but you don't get a lot of time. We didn't do an excursion but instead hired a cab to show us around. Our driver was excellent!

As for the ship, there is a wine bar and the sommelier was great. They have a few tasting sessions that are very well done. Shows on board are good too. We saw Jersey Boys and a band based on the Beatles.

If you have an opportunity to upgrade your cabin into The Haven I would highly recommend it. You have a butler and concierege that handle just about every need like reservations, snacks in your room, etc. There is also priority boarding and access to shows, etc. They will also escort you off the ship for excursions where you don't have to wait in lines, etc. The Haven has its own dining room, which is far better than the others. They have an observation lounge which is great too. We had an Aft-Facing Penthouse with Large Balcony and while it is not located within The Haven, you get Haven privileges and services. I don't know that we would do another NCL without The Haven.

There is a travel agency called Harr Travel that has put out a bunch of videos online. There are tours of the Bliss, tours of certain room categories, etc. Might be worth watching before you go. I found them very helpful. A simple google search will take you to whatever you are looking for.

Enjoy your cruise.

We saw both of them when we cruised on the Bliss. Both were very good.

If you're into history it's awesome. If you're not doing the train, go over to Dyea (ghost town now)

I could spend hours just in the two cemeteries.
