Best places to eat in Natchitoches and for lunch in Lafayette? Looking for good Cajun cooking and experience.

Where they "proudly serve both domestic and imported Gulf shrimp."

Prejeans, it rightfully got crapped on a bit for being pretty meh but since new ownership has taken over has become quite solid again.

Natchitoches Area (my pre-Covid Memory) Current residents will edit me: Lasyones is the bench mark meat pie there. I remember it being more pie than meat, so I frequent a gas station on the other side of the interstate exit for mine. Pioneer Pub had good bar food, the Wookie appetizer and the gator po boy. Maglieux's had seats overlooking the Cane River. Fried White Chocolate Bread Pudding in a bourbon sauce. after the crab stuffed chicken breast. There is a Farmers Market on the riverfront Sat mornings, Not too far away is Grayson's BBQ. Ribs, Hams, Ham Sandwich (home made buns), Ginger and chocolate cookies, vinegar based sauce like Dreamland. Meats sold by the pound with a la carte sides. Only canned drinks and no tea. Local cops love to run radar and laser.
