Good afternoon. I'm in Nashtucky next week, staying in Goodlettsville for a jobsite nearby. Any restaurants nearby to suggsest, nothing fancy just interesting. Any whisky distilleries nearby? Also looking for good sporting or fly shop.
Also anywhere within 20 minutes good for fly fishing? I don't have a ton of time but was going to bring a rod, maybe spend half hour some nights on the tailwater of the dam in Old Hickory.
I don't do Nashville downtown unless its really good food.

Hendersonville is on Old Hickory Lake & closer than downtown from where you'll be (Goodlettsville & Hendersonville is pretty much same place) and has your basic chains plus some other descent food option.
The Rudder, Moby Dicky's (both seafood/bars), and Tailgate Brewery (good pizza and beer) are on the lake. They are good options
Tutti Da Gio is good Italian (some rated it best in the Nashville area) and beside Half Batch Brewing (good beer: The Fulkin Scotch Ale is great).
A little bit further into Gallatin, Prince Street Pizza has great pizza and really good local beer selection on draft.
Good options if you don't want to deal with downtown and within 10-20 minutes from you.

Brave Idiot… It’s a food truck; but, Dylan is a friend and an uber talented cook. Nice mix of Nashtucky vibes and his hot chicken is amongst the best in the city.

On our latest trip, we got excellent Asian food at Virago in the Gulch. We also finally made it to Pelato's for Italian food. It was great too.
The two best brunches in town are Buttermilk Ranch and Adele's.
There are a number of great steakhouses in town as well. If you don't eat well every meal in that town, you're not trying.
