How's the parking situation at MSY? Flying with elderly parents in a week and want to make it easy on them. Should I go ahead and reserve with Park N Fly or other or has the parking woes settled down?

Parked in short term yesterday. Took about 10 minutes to find a spot.

PnF or USpark will require a lot less walking than any of the airport parking

Absolute dogshit for airport management. Parking has been crap for years during holidays. Earlier this year they shut down much of the first floor of LT parking adding to the shitshow that is MSY.

Original plan was to build 1 new parking structure at the new terminal. They then added a second one. Both will be ready this fall. Two new structures have MORE parking than all the current options, AND they are going to repurpose the current LT garage to overflow parking.
So it will improve... just not much of a help right now.
Heard a news report over Memorial Day weekend that for the two week period starting the Friday before Memorial Day, the airport was expecting 60,000 MORE passengers than the same two week period in 2018. It's just crowded AF right now.
