Bringing my significant other to catch the Molly's at Soul Kitchen this weekend. Been through Mobile numerous times, but always in passing.

the downtown area is very nice
pick a hotel in that area and hit up a bar and restaurant you might like

Definitely stay downtown near Dauphin St, lots of bars and restaurants and very walkable. Aside from that, what kind of things are you looking to do?

I always enjoy staying in one of the historic rooms in the Malaga Inn. One of the king rooms with the balcony has been pretty cool.

Check out the Battle House hotel - with reservation you'll get access to their rooftop pool and bar area. Great place to hang out and spend the day
Old Majestic Brewery has great beer and fun atmosphere. Grab a sandwich from Cheese Cottage next door
Check out Haberdasher bar for pre concert drinks
Noble South for a good dinner
