Booked a week out there in July. Going to drag the Jeep out and hit the trails.

Anyone done Hells Revenge and Hells Gate? I’ve done Imogene and Black Bear in Colorado, but not sure I can pull of Hells Gate.

I have lived out west for 8 years now, and still do not understand the appeal in driving “trails” in trucks and Jeeps, just for the sake of driving them. Reaching a trailhead to get out and actually hike? Sure.

To each their own, though.

I have done one of them (I can't remember which) on my side by side. Also took my side by side to Area BFE. Area BFE is crazy as heck.

A fun trail to do to get your feet wet us Chicken Corners. I've done that one on my 4 wheeler. And my wife and her cousin were in my side by side. The views from Chicken Corners are awesome and there are some shelves that are fun to screw around on.

It's fun. We stayed at the KOA south of Moab. We were there for the Fourth of July 2 years ago or so and it was stupid hot in the afternoon. If you go in the summer, get up early to hit the trails.

We did a hike that was really a beautiful hike. Corona arch and Bowtie Arch. Great evening hikes and just challenging enough.

Like I said, I was there in July for the 4th 2 or 3 years ago. It was hot but you planned around it. Get up early and ride the atv/jeep trails. Then grab lunch and then either hang out at the pool or take a nap. Then an evening hike or an evening dinner. No big deal.

When you tear up your Jeep, do you fix it yourself, pay somebody to fix it for you or pitch it and just buy another one ??????

spent 4 days in Moab July 2022. It was dangerously hot

we hit the parks/trails at sunrise, did our thing, landed at the moab brewery by mid afternoon, took a nap then headed back out for sunsets. The off-road stuff we did at night

2-7pm is a no-fly zone in summer
