My son (14) and I will be taking a last minute planned MLB trip in 2 weeks to see the Rangers, Phillies, and Orioles. We are looking for advice and recommendations on fun things to do in each city, places where we should stay, and good things to eat in Dallas, Philly, and Baltimore. This will be a quick trip so will really only have a day in each city. TIA

Dallas- I went to the old Ballpark in Arlington for a game once. Don’t know about the new domed stadium. AT&T Stadium is right there by it and it’s huge. I wish I went to the cemetery right there by it to pay my respects to Dimebag and Vinnie Paul of Pantera.
BBQ- Pecan Lodge or Lockhart BBQ has been recommended. They have an in-n-out burger near SMU campus. If you’re downtown, you can see where JFK was shot. Reunion Tower. Cotton Bowl is in the area.

Arlington, where the Rangers ballpark is located, is a dump so other than the game, not much to see or eat there. There is the Texas Live cluster of bars and restaurants adjacent to the stadium so you can eat at Lockharts bbq or one of the other corporate chains there. I would suggest going to Ft Worth to check out the stockyard area and sundance square downtown. You could hit Goldie's BBQ or Panther city bbq over there. I live in Dallas and do prefer living in Dallas over Ft Worth (And I know plenty of people feel the opposite) but Ft Worth has more tourists oriented things to do.

Babe's has an Arlington location. They are pretty much considered to have the best friend chicken in Texas. But generally, not anything overall to see in Arlington. Maybe spend a little time at Texas Live by the ball park (Minute Maid Park North ).

Rangers - There is a Six Flags right close to the stadium. Handful of hotels that are right there. We stayed at the Sheraton in 2018 when the Tigers played Miami. Its walkable to both the ballpark and Six Flags.
Phillies - We stayed at the Cambria on Broad street and took the subway to the game. City hall and all that comes with it was a 2 block walk from the hotel.
Orioles - I would do what we did and stay in D.C. and take an Amtrak up to Baltimore and Uber to and from the station to the ballpark. I didn't care to be in Baltimore any more than I needed to.
Have fun! All ballparks are fun!

odd spread between Dallas then Philly then Baltimore.
What's the catch? Makes sense if you do a trio of ballparks in the NE or something...just wondering how Dallas made the cut.
Also, new ballpark in Arlington is nice....but in no way does it feel like you are at a baseball game. I get it from hosting multiple events and other things as well as having the AC pumping in the 100+ degree heat during the Summer...but it does not feel like you are at a baseball game, and everything is so spread out. May go down as one of the worse stadium setups in the league when they look back at it.
I thought the ballpark in arlington was great...disappointed they couldn't somehow keep that setup.

It was designed by a big corporate architecture firm. But I think the inside and layout is much better than the ugly arse outside.

Found a really cheap flight from New Orleans to
Dallas $39, and then Dallas to Philadelphia$49. Spirit and Frontier.
