Going to Minneapolis for a concert in August. Anything else fun to do around there? Places to eat? TIA

If you're a Prince fan and have transportation, you can go tour Paisley Park.
For eats, I have had great meals at:
112 Eatery
Bar La Grassa
Kramarcsuk's Sausage
Mandarin Kitchen - surprisingly good dim sum

Lots of neat green spaces all over. Minnehaha, the MS River and Mill ruins. I really liked the Can Can antique arcade. Pay one price ($14) and unlimited play they had games going back to the 1930's and tons of pinball. It's the biggest arcade I've seen in years.

Get ready for the Somali scent. Holy shite, it's the worst I've ever smelled on a flight (Winterpeg to MSP.)
The area in downtown near the Marriott has a lot of downtown bars with upper decks with grass and patios on the second floor which were cool.
Homeless people were sleeping in the indoor malls a decade ago during the late spring, so, I suspect it's gotten worse.

St. Paul is a cool looking town...really old school, industrial. I went out there to watch a minor league game one night the last time I was in town.
