Wenlock Arms pub in London is worth a trip out to its neighborhood. Real locals place with excellent beer selection. We were the only tourists last time there. Tubed and walked there, then took a bus back to “sightsee” some off the tourist path areas.

Flying out of MSY on BA? I’ll be on that flight with my family.

I'm flying out of Lafayette through Houston. I'm flying United and upgraded to Polaris business class.

From the Savoy you are very close to Frenchie in Covent Garden (fantastic restaurant), a Barafina (Spanish), and Dishoom (Indian).

Also easy walk to Tate Modern, Borough etc...

But farther to St. John Spitalfield but worth a visit.

Also White Marble lane, Trafalgar Square and National Portrait gallery.

The bacon naan sandwich at Dishoom is a reason to get up in the morning. Fresh naan, bacon, cilantro, chutney, cream cheese. Plus a cup of chai, and it's pretty damn near perfect.

Walk the closes in Edinburgh. At night, you will feel like you are back in time. Pop into any local pub you happen upon. It might be a hole-in-wall full of locals serving hearty fare and dishing out sass.

Don't fly to London, take the train. It's a shame that you'e not considering York as it's a fantastic city and far more interesting than Bath and an ideal stop on the line from Edinburgh to London.

I agree.

York over Bath...agree as well.

As for Stonehenge, frick thst pile of rocks. You can't even get close to them anymore.
