Last Minute NYE Trip

I have Thursday and Friday off. Wife typically works, but has the same days off. Zero plans. She wanted to go to Fairhope, but hotels this late are slim.
We are in Bham. Something drivable would be preferred. Maybe North Georgia like Helen or Dahlonega? Would Natchez be any good this time of year?
