Question:

If I am on a flight landing at LaGuardia at 4pm on a Tuesday, would I be able to make it to Newark for an international flight that takes off at 10pm?

I would need to check bags for both flights.

I am asking because I have a free flight into LaGuardia, otherwise I wouldn't be doing this.

Yes if the LaGuardia flight is not substantially late. Even in the worst rush hour traffic that drive wouldn't be more than 75-90 minutes.

Yes you should be able to do it easily, but will likely be a little bit of a pain in the arse especially with checked luggage. I know there's a bus transfer from LGA to Penn Station so I'd probably go that route with the luggage then NJ Transit rest of the way to EWR.

That's just a risk I'm going to have to take. I'll keep an eye on the weather for that day as it gets closer.

Was planning on the pre-arranged car. It'll be a couple of us so it'll cut the cost a bit.

I would never ever cab that distance. The prearranged car service is the best no hassle luxurious option. Laguardia is in a weird spot. Travelling by myself I take a cab to and from the airport to Junction Blvd in Corona. It's about 1-2 miles and takes about 15-20 minutes. From there I take the subway to Penn Station. That is about 15 minutes. From Penn Station I take the NJ transit right to Newark. You can do that in about an hour if timed up well. Depending on amount of luggage and who I am traveling with determines the means.
