My thoughts exactly on my next trip there. Hermosa Beach was awesome, but I'd want to see something different next time.

ALSO...the ATV company posted a drone video of our time with them. Facebook video link of our ride

La Fortuna is pretty incredible. I’m thinking about going in the next few weeks . Man, there is nothing better than a day of strenuous hiking followed by a few hours in the hot springs.

I’m here now at the Springs. It is incredible and we’re hitting the hike tomorrow. Looking forward to it. Had a great time on the white water rapids today.

I wish we would have gone with Maverick. Saw his shop right on the highway. Looked like a larger outfit for sure.

Maverick is the best! Basically a 1 stop shop. (PS - they offer a shuttle pickup at airport that fast tracks customs...best $$ I spent on the trip)

Booked condo, Isla Tortuga, atv ride, zip line, and fishing trip all through them. Caught Roosterfish, 2 sails, 5 tunas.

Los Suenos is beautiful, but don't go to any of the restaurants in the marina. Way overpriced. The best ones are on the beach right outside the resort.

I'll second a trip to Manuel Antonio state park area. Actually went there for my honeymoon many years ago.

I've been to CR several times, never even attempted to go to Jaco or Casino. Just too much other fun stuff to do.

We have 6 couples planning on going to Costa Rica sometime in May or June. Everything you did seems right up our alley. We plan on staying 5-7 days. Should we stay in multiple locations? The wives want the house to be close or on the beach.

When you say stay in multiple locations, do you mean split up the group and stay in separate places or do you mean all 6 couples (for example) stay south for a few days, north a few, east, etc?

Got it. Honestly, I wish we would have bounced from the mountains to the beach (coast to coast). Saw "more" of CR. That would be ideal...BUT...5-7 days is not enough to do too much bouncing around IMO. With that many ppl, driving time, excursion time, etc... it might be hard to pull off. Now 7+ days, maybe so!

Overall, my recommendation is, if you can make it work, I would say go for it and bounce around to different topography in CR...see all that CR has to offer.

But don't sacrifice enjoying CR just to say you saw all of it.
