Wrapping it up with a brunch at Nora’s Fish Camp before heading out. Perfect ending to an amazing week.

I've only done Banff of these 3 parks, but I highly recommend it. Views are incredible!

Sounds like y'all have had a truly unique trip, especially finishing up with Cascade Trail and fly fishing. Yellowstone and Tetons are a pretty special place like nothing else.

For future consideration, I'm throwing out Olympic National Park. Mix in North Cascades and Mt Rainier, it honestly does not get much better than that. Really want to visit Glacier, hoping to make that work in the next couple years. Yosemite Valley is probably one of the most visually stunning places I've been along with the hike to Upper Yosemite Falls.

Safe travels on the journey home.

I fly out tomorrow to Jackson. 3 days there and 4 days in Yellowstone. Your posts have gotten me amped up. Cheers.

Jackson Hole 4th of July Festivities

They are having a parade and other stuff. Traffic was pretty bad getting through the town. Expect crowds and traffic. Try getting wherever you want to go early if possible.

Best vacation I’ve ever taken by far.

Yes sir. Our plan is to catch fireworks on the 4th and skip them tomorrow. Tomorrow will be getting groceries and such for our hikes.

Jenny Lake, Hidden Falls, Inspiration Point, partial Cascade Canyon Sunday.

Amphitheater, Surprise, Delta Lakes on Monday. That will be a though one.

Yellowstone Tuesday through Saturday

Start a separate thread and post pics please.

ETA: Or post them here. I just want to see more pics especially of the Teton hikes.

I'd much rather see the Yellowstone Grand Canyon, Upper and Lower Falls, and the Yellowstone Lake area. I love seeing the herds of bison and other wildlife over seeing the geyser.

Just finishing up a Jackson Hole trip (stayed in Teton Village).

There’s an app called Gypsy Tours. You can download guided tours they sync up with your location and direction you’re driving. It was fun listening to these while driving through Grand Teton National Park.

Had lunch at Jackson Lake Lodge mural room. Beautiful view. You can make a small hike up lunch tree hill where the Rockefellers had a picnic lunch, saw how awesome this place was, and decided to buy up all the land to preserve its beauty.

Did a full day guided Yellowstone tour . Long day, but well worth it.

Did a Snake River float trip (I have young girls so we couldn’t do the white water rafting trip). Very relaxing and beautiful scenery.

We made a drive through Teton Pass and into Idaho. From there, we went to Grand Targhee Resort mountain. You can take a chair lift to the peak, make a small hike, and see the Grand Tetons from the west side . Awesome sight.

***Be Careful on the free gondolas a Teton Village after 5pm***
Pretty much every Friday night and Saturday night throughout the year there are private events at the top of the mountain. The “free gondolas” are closed to the public. Wife and I got lucky, we took the gondola up Thursday evening and had drinks overlooking the valley. We Tried to take our girls Friday and was shut down.

Had drinks as Accent Lounge (Four Seasons) and dinner at Westbank Grill (Four Seasons). Not bad, but not something I plan on doing again. You’ll need to be either staying there or have dinner reservations to visit from 6-830pm.

Breakfast and lunch can be easy to find places to eat. Dinner on the other hand is extremely difficult to nearly impossible to simply walk into a restaurant between five and 7:30 PM and expect to sit down. You’ll need Dinner reservations at a place you really want to go at a “normal hour”.

Overall an awesome trip

The ‘medium difficulty’ trail at the top of the mountain at Grand Teton Village:

These college kids we’re hiking all the way to Lake Jenny
