Italy for 8 days through gate1 travel, $1042/person departing 12/7

I'm not sure how the weather is at that time but it's $1042/person flying out of New Orleans to Milan, includes flight, car, hotel, and breakfasts.
I don't know if gate1 has hidden fees or these are roach motels or something but this seems like a hell of a deal.

Is a flight from Houston to New Orleans really worth it? I'd strongly consider driving that and saving a lot.

Their deals do seem very good. I'm curious too if anyone has done them?
$2200 would be $1200 for flights, $800 for hotel, so your rental car at $200 for 6 days is very good.
$100/ night in off season for a hotel does not mean a roach hotel by any means. Very slow season so a good hotel marketing person would likely be glad to book some spots at that amount.

Even if you just stayed in their hotel for a few nights and spent some time in Florence or Venice or Milan.
I don't see any bad reviews about it and it's not like they operate the flight hotel or car. They're just the facilitator.

Went on 7 day, 6 night trip through them in 2010 to Rome, Florence, and Venice. Each hotel was fine. European budget hotels are way cleaner than US ones.

I used them for a Paris trip, no issues, picked the hotel we stayed at, 5 nights, 2200 total flights and hotel included. Going back in Sept in 2018.

My family did this same trip back in March- you'll love it. Hotel in Montecatini was nice and is centrally located.
