Is there any way to get a passport in less than a week?

A friend just had 2 people cancel on a trip out of the country. He invited my girlfriend and I. Neither of us have passports. They’re flying out the 6th of July. I contacted the New Orleans office, but there were no openings. Any tips or are we just SOL?

Would have to get an appointment at a passport office with ticketed travel within 48 hours.

Call your state rep and they will get you an appt. A friend forgot to get passports for their kids for a trip out of the county.
They couldn't get an appt when they called the passport office. A call to their reps office got them in and they got the passport the same day.

From this day forth, always have a valid passport. Renew it six months before it expires, whether you have any trips planned or not.

Had a buddy in Slidell in a similar situation and he flew to the Denver office. I think they took care of him.

Take a passport required itinerary to the office and they’ll issue you a passport that day.

We were in this situation in April. We worked through our congress members office to get an appointment early on day of the international trip and got it about 2 hours before flight departed. It wasn’t easy but it is doable but with no guarantees.
