Or what would be the best option?

I use it. The few times I've flown since the new terminal opened there were lines so it helped. "Worth it" is kind of up to you.

I have heard rumors that Clear may be coming to the Superdome as well.

They way I understand it is: clear lets you cut to the TSA line but you still need TSA precheck if you don't want to take your shoes off.
Correct?
Correct?

I went last week and it was quicker than both regular TSA and the TSA precheck line. You do still need to take your shoes and stuff off, the only drawback.

Yes, this is true. If you get TSA Precheck, just go ahead and get Global Entry (which comes with TSA Precheck). It's only $15 more for 5 years.
Edit to add, the requirements depend on the airport and the TSA personnel. Lately I haven't had to remove shoes or belts going through TSA Precheck.

If you have pre-check and clear you do not need to take your shoes off.

Don’t think about it only for your home airport, think about the benefit of going through security when you’re in one of the large airports returning home.
I put off getting precheck when I was living in Shreveport until somebody told me to think about traveling home from airports that it will benefit me. Now, I’m back in DFW and love having it.

Can you just add it on at the Identogo place?
Going for the interview Monday.
Oh, how is the wait for walk-ins at the Siegen Lane location?

I believe that is incorrect. You skip the precheck line and go into that security line. Once you're in it the people checking have no idea who is clear and who is precheck.
I have a buddy who has it and he likes it. I have never waited in line long at precheck so don't see the value. Unless you lose your ID all the time.
