Hotel: Big Island of Hawaii

Planning a trip to the big island next year on the Kona (West) side. Haven’t been in about 15 years and looking for recs from anyone that has been recently.

Just got back from Kona yesterday. We stayed at the Fairmont Orchid. Beautiful property and I would stay again. A bit pricey, but that’s Hawaii.

I also stayed at the fairmont orchid, beautiful hotel, they have a little cove and beach and will give you snorkel equipment. The sea turtles also hang out there at the entrance to the cove.

We have been to Big Island twice. We love it! We stayed at the old Sheraton, I think it’s called something else. It the hotel with underwater lights that attract the manta rays. You should do the night snorkel, it’s amazing.
