Cancelled Embassy Suites and booked Hampton Inn Pearl District thurs & fri night and Hampton Inn Astoria Sat night. Probably back in Portland Sunday night. So far I’m thinking eat/ drink Portland Thursday then hike Angels rest and horsetail falls fri before heading to pfreim that afternoon and back to Portland to eat/drink that night. Saturday hike Cape lookout then degarde brewery before spending the rest of the day at Cannon beach. Stay in Astoria that night then hike Ecola Sun morning before heading back to Portland to eat and drink.
What would be the best winery to fit in that agenda? My wife likes to drink Cabs and Pinot noir.

I stayed in the pearl district when i was there. It was a cool area. If you like ramen, i recommend Boxer Ramen. Al’s den has some comedy downstairs. It’s a quirky little spot that’s built into an intersection so the bar is built like a V shape.

At Fort George, go to the Lovell Taproom - this is where you will find all the experimental beers. It's located across the parking lot from the main building. This is the most intimate of the 3 bars at Ft George, and also where they have the most beers on tap. You are 1 block from Bridge and Tunnel Taproom and Bottle shop, as well as Reach Break Brewery.
In Hood River, be sure to check out Ferment Brewing, a couple of doors down from pFriem. Maryhill Winery is just up the road on the WA side of the river. Stunning views of the George. There are a number of winery tasting rooms in Hood River, too. Check it out.
If you want to do something different, and active, try windsurfing in Hood River. The water will be warm, and it's a great place to give it a shot with MT Hood as a backdrop.

Forgot to mention, but you will be in Portland during fres hop beer season. Break side Slabtown is one of the best places to go for fresh hop beers.
