I'm flying to FLA next week for work, and my work told me I may need my TWIC card if I don't have a passport or the new national ID.

Has this started yet? I haven't heard of it on the news or anything.

Aren’t you going to Italy soon? If you have a passport, no need to worry about state ID compliance.

Passport is too expensive. He's waiting for the sale.

When I renewed my license they offered the real ID.Check online to see which documents you'll need. IIRC I had my passport, insurance card, 2 proofs of residence, and SS card. If it's not time to renew you can bring these documents and pay 17 dollars for a duplicate and they will print a Real ID for you.

No. I fly all the time and actually this is the first I have heard of a mandatory National ID. Drivers licensed worked last week for me and planning on it working next week.

Yes it is. I looked it up after posting and it looks like where I live, Maryland, has already conformed to this new ID with its issuing of new drivers licenses. I just figured since I travel about 20 weeks a year I would have seen something, at the airport, referring to new id’s needed. I am more worried about how long the TSA per heck line is.
