Drive to Boulder. Park near the Pearl Street Mall. Dozens of great bars and restaurants and great people watching. Head over to Chautauqua.. Go for a walk. Next day explore the bars and restaurants in Lodo. It's amazing. Eat a buffalo burger or get some great Mexican. Head over to the Pepsi Center and catch a hockey game.

Linger is a good restaurant.

If you go to boulder, hike the Royal Arch trail. it's awesome. Nature's stairmaster.

I second Linger - old mortuary that has been transformed into a restaurant. I recommend checking out a baseball game if you can/are interested. Hit up Biker Jim's for a rattlesnake sausage if you do.

If you're interested in hiking, look at Idaho Springs and the surrounding area. Georgetown is a cute little town with a lot of hiking opportunities. Good for a day trip.

If you want to ride a decent roller coaster, avoid 6-Flags type lines, and don't mind a mildly run-down and ghetto scene, then I can recommend Lakeside:

Take a cannabis tour. Very informative and entertaining. Have a large bag of crunchy cheetos and a cold 3 ltr. Dr. Pepper waiting in the room when you get back.
