Just got an alert on my phone that there is a winter storm warning until Sunday (June 22) at noon in Glacier National Park. Calling for up to 18” of snow above 5000’. I just post this to make people aware if you are planning a Glacier Trip and want to travel Going to the Sun road you might want to plan it pretty late into the summer. A couple of years ago I was there Aug 3 and it was 38° and sleeting pretty hard at the parking lot at Logan’s Pass.

I've been tracking the weather and seeing this massive snowstorm about to show up in Idaho, WY, MT. I am sure some people are not ready for a snow trip in late June

Actually there was a poster on here asking about flights to glacier, gotta check when he was going... This thread showed late June LINK

The weather in Glacier is pretty crazy. The day before it was sleeting at Logan’s Pass we were swimming in Lake McDonald. Glacier is my favorite place I have visited in the Continental US.

I'll be there in early September. Hopefully it will be okay.

Was at GNP just after Labor Day last year and the weather was absolutely perfect (low 80's during the day).

Yep, that was me. Been watching the weather closely. We fly in Thursday. Looks like highs are going to be in the low 60s with lows in the low 40s inside the park (we have a cabin in Somers, and their temps are roughly 10 degrees warmer for highs/lows). Skies should be partly cloudy the first couple days and sunshine the last 2 days we’re there. Can’t wait. Just trying to decide how to layer while hiking in the park…

Imagine leaving Louisiana when it's 95 and arriving in Montana to be greeted by a snowstorm.
