This thread was obviously started on the OT, hence the dumb heading and title. 99.999% of people traveling to NYC will not even notice this change. Yes, transit fares will also go up and your cabs will be slightly more expensive, but not nearly enough to affect most people's travel plans.
There is a fun policy/infrastructure/equity/environmental conversation around congestion pricing, but I won't jump in that on the travel board.
For those of you who have traveled to London, Milan, Singapore, and Stockholm before and after they adopted congestion pricing, did you notice any difference? How did it affect your trip?

And yet there are tens of thousands of dumbass kids who will leave their families behind to live in some shitbox apartment that goes for $3,000 a month just so they can brag about how they live in NYC

God forbid someone should want to live in one of the world’s premier financial and arts centers when they can live in Woodlands, TX.

Sucks big dong for car commuters in to the city. I'd never try to bring a car there
Most people dont. No idea why you would drive into the city.

I went to England this summer. I believe someone told me London does this.
I believe a number of large cities in Europe do.

The Woodlands is heaven compared to NYC.

I know several people who live in New York City, they have fantastic jobs, and not one of them drives into the office.
They have cars, but they only use them on weekends if they wanna get out of the city.
Public transport up there is legit
