Any of you been? What is it like?
Will be down there for the first time during the next full moon and heard that a party happens.
Thanks!

Moons ago there used to be parties at a place called the Bomba Shack, which was a beachside shack run by a guy named Bomba. Bomba was very large and sort of handsy with women who would ask to take photos wiry him. Bomba would make Bomba tea which was supposed to be some sort of magic mushroom punch. These parties took place on full moon nights and all the charterheads, sailors, some locals, would all head out and drink a lot of this punch and a lot of rum. The parties were a lot of fun but I don’t think the punch did anything. I do recall one time a baking sheet of mushrooms that you could sample from if so desired.
All of this is a way to say, the party is fun but it doesn’t have much to do with the full moon (although that is when the parties are most notorious).

I have not been to a full moon party, but the last post made me think of a funny story.
A few months ago we were down there and hopped on a group tour to the baths and Jost. It was the two of us and a lot of older couples. When we were in Jost, this really sweet 60+ woman walked over and told her husband that some nice young locals on the beach sold her a mushroom tree that she drank. She thought it was some kind of local herbal and had no idea what it really was. She had never smoked pot or anything in her life. Her husband was just shaking his head and hoping it wasn't strong. About an hour later, she started tripping hard, almost jumped off the boat and had to be rushed offf as soon as we docked.

I've been to the full moon party on Jos Van Dyke at Foxy's. I know a dinner was involved, but I was blacked out pretty early in the night after smoking with Foxy himself. Only night of 3 trips in the BVI's where I have no recollection of how I got back to the boat.
