Look on Google Maps. It shows the exact location of where the checkpoint is on I-10.

Is it by the weight station after your cross the border?

if you enter Florida on 90
You will bypass the checkpoint. Exit at bucees and head south then left on 90 into Florida.

When are they going to take that thing down? We are going in about 2 weeks.

Doesn’t 90 take you back to I-10? At that point there’s no checkpoint once you hit I10 from 90?

Yea. You are past the checkpoint when you get back on 10.

So what happens if you go through the checkpoint? How are they verifying self quarantine?

Doesn’t sound like they are following up.
It’s just a dog and only show to make some residents of Florida think the state is “protecting” them:

They don’t verify it. If you have been in Louisiana you peel off and have to fill out paperwork. ID, license plate, etc.

Does anyone know if you can stay at an interstate hotel if you are from LA? Going to visit my folks and its an 11 hour drive.

We have 3 little kids so was planning on cutting the drive in half and staying somewhere.

Hotels are not an issue, unless its the Hilton at Sandestin. They are cancelling Louisiana reservations.

I have been to the San Destin Hilton many times when it seemed as though half the people there were from Louisiana. The Louisiana Bar Association has a large convention there every June which the hotel makes a fortune off of. They will want these people back at some point. They better be careful not to piss them off. I am already pissed off.

The counties up there want Louisiana to come. They just have to follow governors stupid decree based upon dated data. I doubt they enforce it. The rental companies are stuck due to state licensing body.
