Why didn’t you just take the 11pm flight?

If canceled at 7:30, it was probably close to 8:30 earliest you got out of there with a rental car.

That’s a 5 hour drive bs 1.5 hr flight., it would have been about a wash on time

Interesting. But if that's the case why would they cancel it at 7:30pm and not wait?

So our plane was at the gate when we arrived by 4:30pm. Around 5:15pm for our 6:05pm departure they announced on the intercome the pilot would not be in until 7:00. They waited until 7:30pm or so to cancel the flight.

The flight to Panama City Beach was also cancelled.

I assumed it was the pilot timing out. Nothing was ever announced about weather.

To answer the others, again I have no status with Delta. There were 5 of us, but we were auto rebooked onto the 11ish am flight the next day.

My biggest peeve here is that we were in Atl and the plane was there. At that point its a business decision by them.

Thanks for the help Cuse. I'll certainly take all that up with them!
