Looking at taking the kids (13 yo and 10 yo) on a quick trip to an amusement park... both Fiesta Texas and Six Flags Over Texas are about the same distance from Baton Rouge...

Does anyone have any experience that either part. If so, would you recommend one over another?

Thx

Been to both

SFOT is way better

San Antonio is in a big quarry and one of the coasters dives off the edge of it. Cool park but small. Over Texas is one of their flagships.

San Antonio

More outdoor activities, the quarry, the river, also a light show at dusk.

Six Flags is better.

Fiesta is ok but small. Six flags has some new rides that just opened. Go see a ranger game next door. Cool water park too

I'd go to Arlington, sounds like you have kids that are roller coaster/thrill ride age which SFOT has more of.

Six Flags, unless you speak fluent Spanish! Fiesta Texas is like Little Mexico!

SFOT is better than Feista Texas. However, there is way more touristy things to do in SA than Dallas.

Yeah SA has Seaworld also. The you aren't far from New Braunfels with the waterpark. And there are caverns and stuff in that area. Remember doing that all in middle school.

It's going to be a super quick trip. Drive one day, hit the park the next day, then head home on day 3..

You really can't go wrong with either. Six Flags over Texas is a larger park and easier to stay cool because Fiesta Texas barely gets any wind being in the quarry.
