Looking for good recommendations for lodging in Estes Park for next July. Last time we stayed in the Best Western Plus a few night but would like something more local or different than a chain hotel. Will be traveling with wife and two school aged kids. Thanks

We stayed at the Estes Park Resort on Lake Estes
It was new and nice
You can rent kayaks or pontoon boats to go on lake

There are several places along the Fall River just outside of town that have cabins, access to horse back riding, playing horseshoes, etc. Can’t remember where we’ve stayed - been a while, but we’ve stayed at a couple of different ones and it was nice to be out of town and in a cabin.

Last September we stayed at the cabins at Tout Haven Resorts. Its just a couple of minutes from RMNP. We loved it!

Another vote for the Fall River area. We have stayed in cabins and VRBOs and this area is our favorite! When we had younger kids, this was our favorite place to stay: Rockmount Cottages

Glacier Lodge, ask for Dave the owner. Lots of neat cabins on a big property. 10 minutes or less from entrance to RMNP.

I second YMCA of the Rockies. No through town travel to get to the park.
