23yo guy, looking to take a 1-2 week trip to Europe for the summer and have heard some good things about this island. Wondering if anyone here has experience or tips I should know before planning the trip which would be towards the end of July. Heard this a good place for young folk but am open to alternatives if anyone has better suggestions.

TIA

Isn't this like the Eurotrash version of Panama City Beach?

Probably a good time at 23.

That sounds like hell on Earth.

I was hoping it was priced in a way to keep the Eurotrash out so that's mildly disappointing.

I went there for a day back in 2003 and it was the most eye candy I’d ever seen in 1 spot. Not sure of what it holds now.

It was also crazy expensive.

I mean it will certainly be better than panama city beach. If you want to party then it will probably be a really good time.

Ibiza is the most fun I’ve had at a club. It’s even better than free drinks at Fred’s.

There’s a few big clubs with some being a little dressier than others (Pacha), if you like any particular house or dance music, check out the lineup and go there. The sound systems are top notch, so the music is great. Buy tickets online ahead of time and you can walk right in. The resident DJs have theme parties (Paris Hilton foam party, Glitterboxx, etc.) on certain nights. It’ll be a different crowd at each.

The beaches are meh, it’s not white sand like a Florida beach. There’s boat parties and plenty to do during the day. Hop on the party bus if you can. Drink some absinthe. Have a good time.

There’s a bunch of sketchy cabs and people trying to sell you drugs on the beach, but keep your wits about you and you’ll be fine. It’s mostly Brits looking to rage and thus a lot of people having fun together.

It was amazing when I was 22 years old. Can't imagine I would enjoy it at my current age haha. Have fun for a few days but it's not worth a whole 1-2 week trip

Yep, some parts.

I went for a couple of nights when I was in Spain last May. Lets just say if I did it again, I easily would've skipped Ibiza.

That being said, I'm 31, and was by myself. I also went right when the island was starting to kickoff, so I didn't see it full throttle. I'm sure it's a bit different if you go mid June or so. And you're a bit younger than me, so you may enjoy some of the stuff I didn't.

Some areas, as Tittle alluded to, are nothing but young trashy Brits. Seriously, it's probably worse than Panama City. Douchey English kids overrun many parts of that island.

Some areas are a bit higher class, which I should've spent more time in. Apart from the partying, there really are some unbelievably beautiful areas to see. And the sunsets are stunning.

When I was in Spain I was told by locals not to go to Ibiza, go to the neighboring island of Formentera. I probably should've taken that advice.

If you're more interested there's an Ibiza message board out there that I discovered the day before I went that will tell you everything you need to know. I forgot what it's called but Google it. I actually met up with a group from that board, and it made the trip a little better.

Good luck.
