Going to attend one of the Red Sox game over next weekend haven’t picked which one yet. What’s outside of the stadium? Do they have anything like Atlanta or St. Louis directly outside? Also any other recs would be appreciated.
Grab a bite to eat at Time Out Market. It’s a good hall. You’ll be able to sample a ton of stuff from a bunch of really good restaurants around the city. There’s also a small Trillium taproom just outside of Time Out. You should also look into doing a tour of Fenway Park before the game.

Staying in seaport right near Trillium appears almost touching my hotel.
Staying at the Envoy?
You’re also walking distance to Harpoon. Go and get a pretzel, trust me.
For dinner you can easily walk to Row 34, which I highly recommend.

Either Fenway to the game or dinner somewhere possibly rooftop
Rooftop dining isn’t terribly common in Boston.

Staying at Yotel. Has a rooftop restaurant Deck 12 and there’s another one walking distance that’s popular among the blogs and places to eat I’ve searched called Lookout Roof Top Bar

Personally, I’d recommend going to grab drinks at the Envoy and then going to dinner at Row 34 (if you want to stay in walking distance). Best of both worlds.
Also the food at Trillium is damn good and their 3rd floor is a rooftop. And down the road there’s a Legal Seafoods that has an outdoor bar on the 3rd floor that’s right on the water. Great place to drink (but I wouldn’t recommend eating there. The food is good not great.)

I’m sure we’ll check it all out! Thanks!

Was debating about taking a tour the same day as the game I plan on attending. They do tours up to 3 hours before the game so it is an option

Yeah if you go to the one closest to first pitch you’ll often get to watch some of batting practice.
That’s what I would recommend doing, personally.

They have one beginning at 4 but it is first come first serve and the latest you can book online is 2PM

I'm also staying in Seaport area right by the Trillium Garden, like it is a block away, so I'll be there most nights.
Already have my game day tickets for Red Sox and Yankees and was just looking at tours of the stadium as they seem to allow for more access.
I know Yankees Stadium tour brings you into the suites, club house, visiting clubhouse, and dugouts

Decided to book the 3 PM tour before the game instead of chancing the walk up time and getting left out. Probably head over around 1 and eat lunch, do the tour and then go grab a drink before the game

Sounds like a good plan.
For lunch, I recommend Time Out Market. It’s walkable to Fenway Park and would give you an opportunity to try food from a bunch of different restaurants throughout the city all at once. Plus there’s a Trillium taproom right next to it.

Yeah that's what I was looking at based on earlier recommendations and searching around Fenway

That a certain (occasional) FBD poster may or may not work at

Does he have some hair grease to go with that outfit?

Google minute men and shot heard around the world. Battle of Lexington and concord.
It is where the war or conflict first started. You can rent bikes and go the route the soldiers did. Eventually you will get to North Bridge. Google that also. It’s a great day.
**the Boston rail line is super easy to use.
Do you like beer or really ipas? Trillium brewing company has a beer garden that might be the best beer I’ve ever had. Look it up. It’s somewhere along the green space where the interstate used to be(side bar interstate is underground now) called the great dig. Harpoon brewery was also cool.
Food. Union Oyster House. (Old jfk restaurant right in heart of history stuff)
Abe and Louis. Nice place right at spot of Boston marathon bombing
There is a few other places I’ll try and remember. The seafood is Boston is fantastic imo

It’s not Treehouse, but Trillium is damn good. You’re referring to their outdoor beer garden on the Greenway. Great space to grab a beer, but going to their Seaport location (walkable from the greenway) is better IMO because they have food and a more expansive beer menu. The Greenway is limited on what they can serve.
And you’re referring to the Big Dig, notoriously one of the most convoluted, corrupt, and expensive construction projects in US history. But it’s very nice now unless you’re stuck in the tunnel during rush hour.

As I’ve mentioned before, Union Oyster House is kind of a tourist trap. Abe and Louie’s is a decent steakhouse but Grille 23 is down the road and better.

It’s very different from what you’re used to if you grew up in Louisiana but still very good.

Update:
Walked the freedom trail yesterday. Did a lot of walking actually. But it was very enjoyable. Went to Trillium. Went to the Sox game area outside of Fenway had lots of atmosphere and the bars were full of people. Didn’t do a true sit down lunch or dinner anywhere. Booked a whale tour for Sunday.

We were there last summer...to this day, Boston is my favorite major city my wife and I have visited. Here's some of the things we did:
Red Sox game - we went to a night game. We spent the morning taking the T (Boston subway) to the local malls and such and did some shopping
Whale watching tour - only a couple hours, pair this with something else to do in the afternoon/night
Walked the Freedom Trail - its prolly 2-3 miles total walk, but take some time to go into all of the places that allow you in...pretty cool stuff there. We made this into an all day thing, stopped to eat and snack at places along the trail.
Lots of good breweries and such if you're into that
Amazing food on the North End. Our favorite place to eat was actually a little local pizza joint called Reginas. Good stuff there and a really nice atmosphere.
