Should I avoid Frontier Airlines and fly United?

Yes, do not use Frontier.

Also, if you do not have transportation from the airport to the ferry then use this CARM Tours and Transfers

They will pick you up from the airport and shuttle you to the ferry. You can purchase ferry tickets as well from them. Also, you can purchase bottled water and beer for the shuttle ride.

took some customers to Cabo a while back and used a car service like this. driver was instructed to have a certain amount of beer for the ride. when we got into the car only about half of the beer was in the ice chest. the drivers reason as to why he did not have the amount directed,"...your flight was delayed."

these services are worth their weight in gold when anywhere in mexico.

2nd CARM add the beer option for $2. You get a private van and they bring you to the ferry and give you priority ferry tickets.
Totally worth it.

Cheaper than a cab.

As far as airlines I like the Spirit direct flight. It's 2 hours and every day. Yeah Spirit sucks but 2 hours at $200 round trip. I'll take than every time.

I've flown frontier from Tampa to Cancun a ton. No issues. Take the ADO bus from the airport to the bus station (buy the ticket when you get to the airport). From the bus station you uber to the port. Cheap and don't have to deal with hiring a private driver or taxis.

did this last year in may, and going again in june. it was pretty nice getting picked up at the airport in a big van loaded down with ice chest full of beer.

I won't fly them but to each their own.

There's reasons their price points are as low as they are and it's not just because of their price structure.

Clientele, aircraft, service, reliability and experience are all better on other airlines
