Looking to walk to hotel after concert at night. Nice hotel, safe, price not a big issue.

Marriott Marquis is within a few blocks. If you want higher end, the Four Seasons is probably 5 or 6 blocks further. The Marquis is in a good location right next to Discovery Green.

Stayed at the Hilton-Americas for the Shriner Classic earlier in the year and thought it was nice. 3-4 blocks from Minute Maid and right across from Discovery Green park.

How is walking a few blocks after a concert on Friday night? Safe or sketchy. Haven’t been in Houston at night in 10+ years. Thanks to all!

Marriott Marquis
Westin
Hampton Inn
Homewood Suites
Hilton Americas
Embassy Suites

You may encounter homeless people, but I've found it to be very safe walking in downtown Houston after night events.

Marriott Marquis is extremely nice and has a fantastic pool. Two blocks away from stadium. It is expensive, but if money is no real option, you can't find much better.

We stayed at Club Quarters this year for the Shriners Classic. A bit of a walk, but rooms were much cheaper than the other high end hotels.

Agreed! I've never felt unsafe after events in downtown Houston in recent years. There's a lot of folks leaving those events and walking.
