This is sort of a follow up to my Boston/NYC thread.

If I should just ask in that thread, admin just tell me.

Anyway, I’m looking at the Chase Southwest Priority card. You get a few hundred off your first purchase of tickets along with other points back offers. The interest rate is high though but I’m guessing most will be.

Anyone use this one? Pros? Cons?

Any recommended other ones?

I have United but I fly United the most so it kind of makes sense. That said if I wasn't checking a ski bag 3-4 trips a year I would probably look at other travel cards and not necessarily an airline card.

I hate to be an arse but if you're worried about the interest rate you shouldn't be getting a credit card. You should be paying the card off in full every month. Don't get yourself into debt for a trip

Please don't get a card if interest rates are part of the picture.

I planned on paying them off each month. I was just making a statement. Sorry.

Rates are high on all CC's if you're planning on paying them off it shouldn't matter.

If you're looking to earn points that you can use on multiple airlines, check out the AmEx Gold/Platinum or the Chase Sapphire Preferred/Reserve

If you're flying from MSY American is usually a solid option if you're flying into Boston - Logan so the Southwest card doesnt do as much good there.

Look into Chase Sapphire and Cap 1 Venture.
