If you aren't interested in being in and around Gatlinburg and/or Pigeon Forge...maybe check out Fontana. Can either stay in Fontana Village, or nearby cabin rentals.

Wife still wants to do the distillery tours. We booked a cabin about 20 mins outside gatlinburg.


Do you have more information about that mountain road?
