My family will be in Atlanta Dec 22-25. What are some places we should visit and eat?

What do you like to eat? The international presence in the NE quadrant of the metro area is extremely strong.

Atlanta Botanical Gardens
Stone Mountain
Georgia Aquarium
Fox Theater
World of Coca Cola
Buford Highway for just about any authentic ethnic food that you could want.
College Football Hall of Fame
Skyview Atlanta
High Museum of Art
Centennial Olympic Park
MLK National Historic Site
Zoo Atlanta, but a lot of animals won't be on display.
If you like craft beer... Sweetwater Brewery, Monday Night Brewing, Orpheus Brewing, Red Brick Brewing, Wild Heaven Brewery, etc. etc. etc.
The Hawks are in town on the 23rd.
If you have kids... the Legoland Discovery Center, Children's Museum of Atlanta, the Center for Puppetry Arts and the Fernbank Museum are all good.
If you want to stray north of the city, to Cartersville, the Tellus Museum is really good. Marietta Square has a lot of really good food and Christmas activities. Kennesaw Mountain Battlefield, in Kennesaw, is interesting.
Really good outlet mall in Woodstock. Mall of Georgia in Buford. Any shopping center will likely be a circus though.
Fox Bros. BBQ has some of the best brisket that I've ever had. Antico has excellent wood-fired pizza. Hankook has great Korean fusion food. Taqueria del Sol is really good. Chai Pani and Ghion Cultural Hall, Heirloom Market BBQ and Himalayan Spice are all legit. Tons of food trucks, but not sure if they'll be out then. Bell Street Burritos is a favorite. For more upscale food, Miller Union, Empire State South, The General Muir, Gunshow, Bacchanalia, Bones, Kevin Rathbun Steak,

I just went back in september and had a great time Thread with Suggestions. Aquarium is a must, world of coke was also pretty good (make sure you try the beverly). Went to the jimmy carter library and surprisingly enjoyed it despite not liking history/knowing much about him

Ponce City Market has a lotta holiday events going on.
Atlantic Station has a very nice Christkindl market along with a 5,000sq ft stating rink plus all the shopping, restaurants etc. that make it a big attraction...

I think Suntrust has ice skating too if you don't want to deal with Atlantic Station and are willing to venture out there.
We don't do a lot of touristy stuff on a regular basis, but we usually do go to to the Garden Lights at Botanical Gardens every year.

Swinging Richards has a pretty decent gourmet hot dog buffet if you are into that kind of thing.
