Atlanta airport hotel recs

I’ve went back and forth on this but my flight out of Atlanta is at 6AM so I would have to leave way to early if I left from home. I decided to get a hotel for an overnight stay. I probably won’t get to the hotel till around 8 so I don’t want to pay $300 to stay at a nice hotel for a few hours. Every time I think I find one I read the reviews and makes me think twice. Anybody have any suggestions?

Think I stayed at the holiday inn near there and they had a free shuttle, had no issues

Closest.
There is a Renaissance on airport grounds, not sure of the rate on your exact days of travel. The area around the airport is complete trash. The hotels at the link above are mostly sitting on I-85 not near a ton of local roads.
I hope you're not driving your own car to that area, but also know that you're going to take a pretty significant risk trying to find an Uber for a $7 ride from one of those hotels two miles away at 4:30 in the morning.

There is a Marriott there that is pretty good and I think another Marriott and a Springhill Suites that is off the rental car train route. You could park at the airport and take the rental car train to the hotel so you wouldn't have to deal with parking in the morning.

There are 4 Marriott properties at the Gateway Center -Marriott, AC, Renaissance and Springhill (just built). All are right by the sky train which takes you right to the airport. Any other hotel by the airport is sketchy.
Don’t expect a bargain. If it is, there’s a reason.
