Next Monday we are flying out of MSY on United @8:12 AM. We will take a shuttle from the Hilton Garden Inn in Kenner to the airport. We have bags to check and are flying first (not a brag need to know if there is a separate security line for First/Priority Members).
What time should we leave the hotel to check in and go through security?
TIA

This should be your biggest time delay of the morning. I've had times where I've waited between 5 and 30 minutes early morning for a shuttle from the hilton (I use their parking sometimes). Estimate this part at at least 20 minutes and just hope there's a shuttle ready to go when you're downstairs. I'd say be in the lobby by no later than 6:45AM

Edited below based on the hotel location.

That was one of my concerns. Thanks so much for the advice. This is my bucket list trip to Alaska!

I have not flown out of MSY in years. I know last time I flew out of there there was a seperate security line for First. Do they still have that? I am always concerned about security causing delays.

We're gonna need golfer or captainj to chime back in here. I do think they have a priority line in terminal D that's used for both delta and united priority/first, but I'm not 100% sure.

ETA: Oh and have a wonderful trip, could try and ask one of our alaskan residents on this board for some suggestions if you're interested

Yes. United and Delta have priority check-in lines for you to drop your baggage and priority security lines.

After you drop your bags, the security line is to your left. The priority lane is all the way to the left, after TSA PreCheck and the standard line. It's a little tucked away and non-descript, but you'll see the Delta and United signs.

Also, I just saw that the HGI Kenner is actually by the Casino. I'm revising my departure time on the shuttle to 6:45.

Thanks for the offer Cuse but we are staying at Chena Hot Springs Resort and that where all of our time is going to be spent. My main goal is to see the Aurora and this is really good viewing spot. If I can keep the cancer at bay I want to go back next year in the Spring.

Thanks for all the information everyone - I really appreciate it.
