I'm driving up from Houston, is there anything worth seeing in Texarkana? Anything outside the state park worth seeing?

We fish the White River twice a year so we are in the area often. Not much to do in Lakeview/Bull Shoals. There is a cave in Bull Shoals which is worth a quick visit but nothing much more than that.

Mountain Home is about 20-30 min drive and there is much more to do there but still limited. We ventured a bit further out last time to Mountain View (about a 1:30 min drive) and would recommend it. Blanchard Spring Caverns and Ozark Folk Center is worth spending an afternoon at.

KT's in Gassville has good BBQ and worth a stop.

Food Recs:
- 2nd KT's
- 178 Club in Bull Shoals is always an excellent dining experience.
- Gaston's on the white river has an excellent view and good food (last I went anyway).
- Rapp's Barren in Mtn Home has some tasty brews an open kitchen and a top floor balcony overlooking the old town square.
