My wife woke up at 6 a.m. to try and reserve park tickets for October. It sounds like the Disney website has been down all morning.

No.

We cancelled our July reservations and annual passes when Disney announced that they would be 2 months behind all the other theme parks in reopening. We figured it was because they didn't have a good handle on the situation. It appears now that we guessed right.

I was able to make park reservations for our November trip. Still not 100% going but at least that's out of the way.

I got online little before 6. Nothing till at least 7. Found on another site to go in and make a dining reservation. Once signed in for that you can click over to the park reservation page. I have days booked for October. Was able to get 3 days of reservations for the 3 days of tickets I have.

Reservations are made now. The only thing keeping us mildly interested in going is 25 percent capacity.

We were originally scheduled to the week of Memorial Day before the pandemic. Then rescheduled for Not So Scary, which isn't happening anymore.

If you followed the disboard thread, they found a way around the pink castle login prompt about an hour or so after it was supposed to go live. Chrome incognito... try to make a dining reservation... login there... cancel... go to the park reservations page. It worked for me. As someone else said, we still have mild interest for our trip in September. I’m waiting to see how the experiences are through July before we decide.

Who could have seen this coming when the open it up to anyone with hotel reservations for the rest of the year? They should have done it in stages.

Disney has never handled max capacity well, whether it's in a park, or on a website.

I'm attempting it today.

Our original trip was mid May. We've rescheduled for end of September/beginning of October, but we're playing it by ear to see if we actually go.

The only thing that is 100% a deal breaker is the mask policy. I'm not going to Disney World for a week in September and wearing a mask the whole time and making sure my 3 and 5 year olds keep theirs on too.

I have a feeling that it won't be enforced after a few weeks if it even takes that long.

I used the dining reservation trick also.

It's a constant problem with even marginally high capacity days on the website. I don't know a time when the rundisney site HASN'T crashed when they open it up for race applications. And it does it twice for each race. Once when it's open to the early birds like DVC members and then again for the general public a couple days later.

We got ours. Tried on phone browser and iPad and couldn’t get it to load past waiting room. Logged on with laptop and took 5 minutes.

We are booked for the first week in August but I'm cancelling. We were on the fence about going and then the beach club pool closure sealed the deal. I was hoping to re-book for a later date and hoping for some upgrades but I hear Disney isn't giving in on anything right now.

They are still charging full price for a Beach Club room with no pool access. The only reason to stay at BC is for the pool.

We were scheduled for first week in July and wanted to reschedule for August but didn't because our resort was not going to be open and the difference in price was going to be $1000 more minimum (and not at nearly as convenient location). Come to find out a few days later that our resort will be open in August after all.

We are going Nov 20-27. I tried making Park reservations but it said we couldn’t. Are they not allowing reservations that far out yet? It didn’t say anything about the date but that all members needed to have the same eligibility type. We both have annual passes and are both on the same reservation through DVC. It allows my husband to make one for him only but nothing for me. Disney has really fricked this up. If it was up to me I would cancel everything but we are locked in through DVC.

Oddly enough, my husband has the reservation linked in his Disney app but when I try to put it in my app it says it is already linked to me. Yet clearly it is not. I can’t get a call to go through. I’m just not going to stress. I have reservations and an annual pass. They are going to have to let me in the parks. I’ll settle it later when things settle down a bit.

I saw that there is a known issue with annual passes and the reservation system today. So that's probably what your experiencing.

I read it was only letting AP make a few days of reservations even if they had say a 6 day stay.

These are the same dates we are going and got all mine booked. Looked like it was only allowing AP holders to book 3 days for some reason.

It let my husband book for the entire stay and i couldn’t book even one day. We just went ahead and got his reservations so later on we can just add me to his since we are clearly on the same trip.
