Will be renting a car for 8 days from Seattle airport in about 3 weeks. Fox has about 100$ cheaper rates than the others. Are they terrible ?

I’ve used them several times, especially in HS and college when they would be the only affordable rental for my under 25 self. I never had any problems with the vehicles. The wait is a bit longer than the Hertz I usually get now but otherwise it’s fine.

I’ve been tempted, but have always shied away due to the terrible reviews and horror stories I’ve read online. You have the potential to have problems with any company, but fox, sixt, etc... seem to have more likelihood of that happening.

I’ve used them only once, in Denver.

As someone said, the line was long. In addition, car was in the worst condition of any rental car I used. And, their ticket agent tried to slip in a couple of upfront charges without seeking our approval.

That said, those are only inconveniences. End of the day, car served its function.

Just rented a compact SUV this week in San Antonio from Fox. $75 for 4 days out the door

No issues, other than general rude customer service and a little wait at the counter.

I reserved a RAV4 or similar. They gave me a Mitsubishi outback sport. Such a POS.

Thanks for the feedback y'all. They're all around 350-600ish out of Seattle for 8 days. I've been digging around for some promo codes.

Yes, once, in Mexico. The hood ornament was Dodge but the key was Hyundai. Three of the four tires were bald. They were the cheapest for a reason, I suppose.

Nah. Don't have one in Alexandria. I wish.

I use them out west a lot. You’ll get a cheaper car like. Hyundai instead of a Toyota but it’s not bad. Last time we ended up getting upgraded to some SUV I’d never heard of before but it was new and worked for us. I always book them online since you can cancel if you change your mind later.
