Just like the policy prior to the pandemic, alcohol will be complimentary for customers seated in Main Cabin Extra.
AA to Resume Alcohol Sales on Board
It's about damn time, over 2 years have passed since the ban went into place and the only other airline that followed was Southwest.
Also happens to coincide with the anticipated end of the federal mask mandate. I wouldn't be surprised to see them push this should the mandate get extended.

I doubt it’s a coincidence. Drunks who raise hell about masks have to be a royal pain in the arse for the flight crew. AA would not lightly pass up revenue unless they had a good reason, such as chilling out the “I can’t breathe” flyers.

Like many on this board have flown a bit since the new normal, and have to say American has proven to be the worst airline to fly. Their stewards are just hall monitors and school marms at this point and they are the most militant about masking and keeping us all safe. #science

I only flew once since all of this. It was an emergency situation. I flew Southwest from Hobby to MSY. Didn't wear a mask in the airport or airplane...I had one in my pocket if someone insisted (I needed to get home...had an employee asked i would have put it on).
Some Karen's glared at me on the plane mostly, so I glared right back.
Somehow I managed to survive Covid without a mask on a plane.

You may have had a point, if every other airline wasn't already serving booze and Delta and United never stopped during the pandemic. Even AA kept serving it in first class so they wouldn't run off their high dollar elites.

True, but there have been a few times where it was like pulling teeth to have them serve you a drink. AA’s approach to all of this COVID bs has been odd to say the least.
