The Drunken Oyster is a Great Restaurant. And I Never recommend eating at a Louisiana restaurant outside of Louisiana, but this one is an exception. Music, food, atmosphere are top notch.

I forgot about the Drunken Oyster. I did enjoy my food there.

Big Texan is worth seeing once. Maybe you’ll see someone trying the 72 oz challenge there. Tourist trap yes, but one visit ain’t gonna hurt.

Get breakfast at Garisols Cafe. Behind a gas station but great coffee and breakfast

Youngbloods is a good breakfast spot with steak and eggs and the like.

Several bars on and near Route 66 have live music some nights, including Golden Light Cafe and Cantina.
