Hey everyone, I’ve seen a lot of posts about people here not being able to go to national parks due to the new entry restrictions in place at many.

As I’ve posted here before, I recently moved to Colorado. Last weekend, we had a planned hike have a weather system plan to move in the night before we left. We instead thought of going to RMNP, but hesitated as we thought we needed a reservation to get in.

Come to find out, if you get to the park before 6am, you can still get in without a reservation. We easily breezed in without issue around 5:30. Just figured I’d let yall know as I’ve seen a couple trip posts say that they didn’t go to a NP because of these closures. You can still go!

Here are a few pics I’ve taken in Colorado as reward for reading this:

Beautiful. Colorado is without a doubt my favorite state. Been working on getting my wife to want to move there.

You don't need a reservation between 5pm and 6am. We camped in the park this weekend and did the Sky Pond hike. One of the top 3 hikes I have done, highly recommended. Thinking about getting up early tomorrow and hiking Chasm Lake.

Thanks for the heads up. Headed to Winter Park Friday and planning on hiking some of the North Inlet trail on Saturday. Would have been disappointed if we showed up and were turned away due to not having a ticket.

The Sky Pond hike is on my bucket list. It's long and pretty strenuous. I should have done it 5 years ago when I did my marathon. I've got to get back in hiking shape!
