I'd also recommend doing a carriage tour your first day to get the lay of the land and history of the area which will make the rest of your trip more interesting.
100%.
I'm a sucker for a horse carriage tour. Even though I lived there a few years, I still take a horse tour downtown when I visit annually. I do the same in Sav and Nola when I visit.
There's rules that say you can't bring alcohol and that's why God invented yeti tumblers.
Whether it's the historic tour, or the ghost tour, they are all good. Unlike Sav and Nola, the Charleston horse carriage tours actually do book out in advance, so it's rare to be able to just walk up and get on "stand by", you will need to make some kind of reservation in advance. There are several companies but the city runs the whole operation.
ETA- tip the tour guide $10 at the end.

Spent 5 days there, during July 4th. My youngest sister was married that the Mills House Hotel!
Mill’s!
Next door is a very nice restaurant, Eli’s table. But just checked, closed for renovations. The owner is a great guy. Serving great food.
I tell folks, it’s a cleaner NOLA.
Enjoy, I need to go back. Soon.

I'll never get sick of the views with water everywhere. So much to like about this area.

Are your accommodations in west Ashley concrete ? It’s fine but I’d def prefer Mt Pleasant if it were me.

Now that your trip is done would love to hear what you did and your impressions.

What I find interesting/entertaining in these types of threads is that oftentimes people will start them looking for recommendations and then never return to the thread after the first post with the request
