35 minute layover in Atlanta

This is on a Delta flight. I've made some tight connections there before, but can't remember if they were that tight. I am seated towards the front of the plane on the arriving flight. There is a later flight with plenty of seats available. Should I roll the dice and try to make the connection, or go ahead and switch to the later flight? The later flight is 2 hours later.
I'm thinking I'll roll the dice. I'm solo so won't have to wait on anyone. Just hoping the connecting flight is in the same terminal.

35 minutes is very doable even with terminal change in ATL.

It's manageable. And if you don't make the connection they'll get you on the next flight. You can go chill at One Flew South and get a couple of cocktails during the layover.

You better have your shite ready when you land and know where you are going. That is tight but can be done. I’ve been in that airport 50+ times

Yeah, I've flown in and out of Atlanta bunch, and connected there several times. I think the tightest connection I've had there was 45 minutes and I made it with about 10-15 minutes to spare. Mostly worried about landing in Concourse C and having to catch the connection in Concourse A.
Not overly concerned since there are 2 later flights, though I have an early morning meeting the next morning and the last one gets in at midnight.

I've had 35 min connections where the 1st flight lands 20 min early and you end up with 55 min. I've also had 1 hr 15 min with a delayed 1st flight where the connection dropped to 12 min for the last flight of the night (think i have a thread on here). I'd book it and hope for the best, if not delta/the app will rebook you

That’s not bad. As long as your flight isn’t terribly late.

35 minutes in ATL doable for sure even if taking the train.
I’ve done 35 minutes 3-4 times and once with a lap child.

Very doable... but there's a LOT that can go wrong:
- Your arrival gate is blocked by a late plane pushing out.
- You have to change terminals.
- Your flight in-bound to ATL was late departing.
You realistically have about 10 minutes to play with there before you are sprinting to the gate, only to find out they already closed it "10 minutes prior to departure".

Just don't stop at the Varsity - you will spend another 35 minutes on the shitter.

RUN like OJ.
Made a 20 minute connection in Detroit doing this. It was supposed to be an hour layover.

My experience has been that the airlines know about connecting flights so if you are staying on the same airline, they will help you as much as they can.
